Sam Fisher

Sam Fisher is the Associate General Manager for Stanford Football, where he works alongside General Manager Andrew Luck to build the program's front office from the ground up. He leads Personnel and Recruiting, with oversight of roster and scholarship management, revenue-share strategy and cap management, prospect evaluation and the transfer portal, admissions and eligibility, and the staffing structure that supports all of it.

His work centers on a question facing every program in the country: what does a modern college football front office actually look like? Fisher has helped design Stanford's answer, defining clear ownership across a complex operation and grounding personnel decisions in data and process rather than instinct alone, in a landscape reshaped by revenue sharing, roster limits, and year-round player movement.

Fisher is a two-time Stanford graduate, earning a bachelor's degree in Symbolic Systems in 2014 and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business in 2019. As an undergraduate, he served as managing editor of the sports section at The Stanford Daily and as sports director and head broadcaster at KZSU, the university's student-run radio station.

Before returning to Stanford Football, he spent a decade in technology and startups, founding a sports software company and working as a principal product manager at Oracle Cloud.
