Jeremy S. Jordan

Jeremy S. Jordan is Dean of the Falk College of Sport at Syracuse University—the only standalone college dedicated to sport at an R1 institution—where he leads academic programs in esports communications and management, exercise science, performance nutrition, sport analytics, and sport management. Appointed Dean in September 2023, he also serves as Senior Advisor to the Chancellor on Sport and Higher Education and as Vice-Chair of the NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions.

Jordan led the launch of Falk as a sport-exclusive college, repositioning it to concentrate entirely on the academic study and business of sport and establishing Syracuse as home to the only academic unit of its kind at an R1 university. Under his leadership, Falk pairs rigorous scholarship with deep industry engagement, preparing students to lead across a rapidly evolving global sport landscape.

An experienced scholar in sport and recreation management, Jordan came to Syracuse from Temple University, where he served as Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and was a professor, Ed Rosen Senior Research Fellow, NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative, and Director of the Sport Industry Research Center. His research examines how sport participation and events affect individuals and communities, with particular attention to their social, environmental, and financial impacts. He has published widely and contributed to more than 65 funded projects.
