Lennie White

Dr. Lennie Waite is a licensed psychologist, Certified Mental Performance Consultant, and Olympian. She serves as Chief Science Officer at HITE EQ, leading the science of making mental attributes measurable, trackable, and decision-grade to support athlete development, coach decision-making, team building, and rostering decisions. She brings together elite athletic experience and psychological expertise to build tools that turn mental performance into actionable data.

Dr. Waite earned her Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston, then started the Graduate Program in Sport Psychology at the University of St. Thomas, serving as Program Director and Associate Professor. She has also worked as a psychologist and subject matter expert for the U.S. Air Force, supporting warfighters in roles such as pararescue. In applied sport psychology, she has led services for USA Track & Field and supported pro athletes and teams in the NBA, NFL, and NWSL, and remains active in research as an Adjunct Professor at Rice University.

Before her career, Dr. Waite competed in soccer and track & field at Rice University, becoming a two-time All-American and setting school records in the mile, 1500m, and steeplechase. She then represented Great Britain and Scotland for nine years across three Commonwealth Games, the World Championships, and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, competing in the 3000m steeplechase.
