Pat Kelleher

One of the most influential and accomplished leaders in the Olympic and Paralympic movement, Pat Kelleher has guided USA Hockey to unprecedented success since taking over as executive director on June 10, 2017.

The 2025-26 season stands as perhaps the clearest example of that success. The U.S. Olympic women's and men's ice hockey teams and the U.S. Paralympic sled hockey team all captured gold medals at the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games—the first time any nation achieved the feat in a single Winter Games. Coupled with record numbers of players, coaches and officials, the season ranks among the most successful in USA Hockey's nearly 90-year history.

Throughout his tenure, Kelleher has championed growth, safety and a more welcoming environment at every level of the game. His leadership has earned widespread recognition, including being named among the top 20 individuals on The Hockey News' list of the Top 100 People of Power and Influence.

Kelleher has been in a variety of roles with USA Hockey over the past 26 years and his impact extends well beyond USA Hockey. Kelleher serves on the International Ice Hockey Federation Marketing Committee and the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Selection Committee. He is also a member of the boards of directors for the Hockey Hall of Fame and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Endowment. In addition, he serves on the Sport and Venue Committee for the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City.
